1991 TOYOTA MR2 2.2L, MANUAL TRANSMISSION. One owner since new. I purchased from an insurance company as flood vehicle. The car was parked when was surrounded about 8-10" water. The insurance company marked the water level on the vehicle. My mechanic replaced the starter, changed all the fluid and the car started right the way. We also replaced, the timing belt, water pump, cam seals, battery, spark plugs, shifter boot and drive belts because we did not know the service history of the vehicle. The car runs and drives, A/C cold and everything works (Airbag light is on). No smell inside the vehicle. No previous accident or paint job. All the body panels has the factory VIN sticker. Original paint.It is an unmolested original car. No any modification. Hard to find an MR2 in original condition. Sunroof has a crack but not leaking, and left front fender has a small damage (see pictures). It has a FL Certicate of Destruction, not a title. It can not be registered in Florida, I do not know about other states. I'm selling as a parts car or for export. It is a shame to banish this car from the road but the insurance company decided to do it. Perfectly runing, nothing wrong. Located in Sanford, Fl 32773. I bought originally to do a Honda turbo k20 swap and sell this toyota drive train for $1700. as these motors and turbo transmissions have been going up in price. These mr2s have been getting super popular on YouTube to modify and race , thus getting harder to find and going up in price since Hagerty magazine put them in top 20 cars to invest in. they have gone up 30% in values in past 9 months. I have now a another car broken down and wife demanding to sell this project dream. or the other and I just cant spend the money now and don't have room to keep long term. I dont know alot about it.them as I was just learning Toyota. I know it is a 2.0 turbo engine , aftermarket clutch , aftermarket manifold, car starts then dies .it could be a sensor or something. I checked tank , cleaned it and replaced pump , filter. that's as far as I got with only Sundays to work on after yard chores. I thought about selling motor trans for $1700 and rollin shell for $1800 if someone is interested. for someone to build a k24 beast. 700hp in these cars will beat 1200hp gtrs all day. even the stock turbo 2.0 maxed out engine runs 12.6 in quarter mile. these cars are amazing. at this point I'm just gonna try to sell as is if someone wants to try fix it . if it doesn't sell I will consider parting out. clean title ready to get picked up. will need a trailer as it wont stay running. I dont know what's wrong with it as I bought as is from a guy that it sat for a year and it did not matter to me since i was gonna pull engine and go honda SWAP. i keep getting emails about questions on what needs repair, i do not know nor have time to find out and repair. if it was perfect and running i would ask $7500 to $9600 like most good running turbo swap mr2s , so that is why it is listed as low as it is. as non running, non perfect car.need a trailer to get it. wont stay running. buyer responsible for pickupI will assist in a pickup. if you need to get a transport I will assist in a pickup , you have to set it up. cars usually run $500 to $800 to ship. dont miss out on this awesome clean title car that can become a dream Mr2.CAR IS SOLD AS IS. The car does not run and drive at this moment, fuel pump was removed. The car will need to be tow away by the buyer. It currently blocking my entrance to the garage.
